How to destroy America! From a speech by Richard Lamm

We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his
thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration
overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by many of
America's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the
name of Victor Davis Hansen talked about his latest book, "Mexifornia,"
explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the
entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until
it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a
stunning speech on how to destroy America. The audience sat spellbound
as he
described eight methods for the destruction of the United States. He said,
"If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich,
then
let's destroy America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has
survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great
civilizations rise and fall and that 'An autopsy of history would show that
all great nations commit suicide.'"

"Here is how they do it," Lamm said: "First, to destroy America, turn
America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bi-cultural country." History
shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of
two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an
individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be
bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: "The
histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are
histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy." Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, and
Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for
autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria
suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques,
Britons, and Corsicans.".

Lamm went on: Second, to destroy America, "Invent 'multiculturalism' and
encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. Make it an article of
belief
that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences.
Make it
an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due
solely
to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is
out of bounds.

Third, "We could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec' without much
effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin
Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: "The apparent success of our
own multi-ethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved
not by
tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated
ethnocentricity and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only
tolerance and pluralism to hold us together."Lamm said, "I would encourage
all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the
melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to
ensure
that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their
differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities."

"Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least
educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated,
and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass
have
a 50% dropout rate from high school."

"My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and
business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic
identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all
minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the
majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority
failure on
the majority population."

"My sixth plan for America's downfall would include dual citizenship, and
promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would
stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are
mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing
each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most
historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation
together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they
belonged
to the same race; they possessed a common Language and literature; and they
worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A
common enemy, Persia, threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were
not
strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical
conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. "E. Pluribus
Unum" --From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis
on the 'pluribus' instead of the 'Unum,' we will balkanize America as
surely
as Kosovo."

"Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits; make it taboo to talk
about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I would find a word similar
to 'heretic' in the 1st century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed
thinking. Words like 'racist' or 'xenophobe' halt discussion and debate.

Having made Americana bilingual/bicultural country, having established
multi-culturism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of
'Victimology,' I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration
laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for
America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant
symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them."

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound
silence followed. Finally he said,. "Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson
Davis's book "Mexifornia." His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to
destroy America. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don't read
that book."

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud
above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew
that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly,
darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being
suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our
educational
system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice
female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate 'diversity.' American
jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third
World
in America- take note of California and other states - to date, ten
million
illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book
"1984." In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth
building: "War is peace," "Freedom is slavery," and "Ignorance is
strength."

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the
conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply
in trouble and worsening fast. If we don't get this immigration monster
stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and
destroy everything in its path especially The American Dream.

Why is Easter so early this year? You probably won't see it again!

just in case you were wondering why Easter is so early this year!

Why is Easter so early this year?

Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20). This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar.

Based on the above information, Easter can actually be one day earlier (March 22) that is rare.

Here's the interesting information. This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above). And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier! Here's the facts:

1) The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year 2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913 (so if you're 95 or older, you are the only ones that were around for that!).

2) The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year 2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818. So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year!

Interesting!

Saturday shopping at the mall, or where did the crowds go?

My wife and I were at Crestwood Plaza yesterday to pick up a couple of items. I was struck by the lack of customers in attendance as it was 11:30 AM!

This brings me to the reason for this post, and that is, it is quite apparent that the tax monies coming from the Mall will be non existent in the very near future! In fact IF any sort of a shut down occurs we can expect nothing of substance for three years!

What to do in the meantime tax money wise? I fully admit that I am no Jerry Miguel, or Steve Nieder (thank God for them,) when it comes to analyzing incoming revenue, but the parts I have seen tell me that we are going to need a "transfusion" in the very near future!

It has been said that we will have to look at our precious City services for cuts if said tax monies are not forthcoming, and I believe it. Now just where do we make those cuts?

1. Police department? NO, if we do that we WILL be much less secure than we are today, and it WILL cost us more in taxes to support a County department!

2. Fire department? NO, again, were we to do that you Can count on paying at least another 58 cents per 100, and not have what we have now!

3. Public works? NO, because we need all the troops on the street we have now just to keep up with the demands of everyday problems and opportunities!

I think you get the drift by now my friends. We are going to have to step up and grant the Mayor and the BOA the authority to TEMPORARILY raise taxes until were back on track, say 2012. How much you say? Again I don't have all the answers but it looks like at least 68-76 cents (total tax) per hundred to get us by the hump here.

Look at your tax bill from St. Louis county 2007, notice that you pay more to the special school district and the zoo than you pay to the community in which you live, is it me, or is this inverse?

Folks we have a really great community here, with the right leadership to see us through the coming storm if we give them the tools to do it, so I am in favor of doing just that!

Please give me your input here (no smart remarks, they will be deleted,) and I will copy them and give them to each Board member, and the Mayor. We look to them for leadership, and they look to us for guidance and help in the tough times!

I read the "paper" today, and for the second week in a row....................

They managed to keep their word and not bash mayor Robinson! In fact they are running a three part "exclusive" interview that can be seen on page one. To say that I am impressed, is to say too little.

How long can this new found love affair be expected to continue considering the Past attacks on Crestwood by the "paper?" I, for one like their new format of not attacking us, and I hope it continues!

When Veterans Retire

When a good Veteran leaves the "job" and retires to a better life, many are jealous, some are pleased and yet others, who may have already retired, wonder. We wonder if he knows what they are leaving behind, because we already know. We know, for example, that after a lifetime of camaraderie that few experience, it will remain as a longing for those past times. We know in the Military life there is a fellowship which lasts long after the uniforms are hung up in the back of the closet. We know even if he throws them away, they will be on him with every step and breath that remains in his life. We also know how the very bearing of the man speaks of what he was and in his heart still is.

These are the burdens of the job. You will still look at people suspiciously, still see what others do not see or choose to ignore and always will look at the rest of the Military world with a respect for what they do; only grown in a lifetime of knowing. Never think for one moment you are escaping from that life. You are only escaping the "job" and merely being allowed to leave "active" duty.
So what I wish for you is that whenever you ease into retirement, in your heart you never forget for one moment that "Blessed are the Peacemakers for they shall be called children of God," and you are still a member of the greatest fraternity the world has ever known.

Civilian Friends vs. Veteran Friends
CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Get upset if you're too busy to talk to them for a week.
VETERAN FRIENDS: Are glad to see you after years, and will happily carry on the same conversation you were having the last time you met.
CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
VETERAN FRIENDS: Have cried with you.
CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Borrow your stuff for a few days then give it back.
VETERAN FRIENDS: Keep your stuff so long they forget it's yours.
CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Know a few things about you.
VETERAN FRIENDS: Could write a book with direct quotes from you.
CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that's what the crowd is doing.
VETERAN FRIENDS: Will kick the crowds' tail that left you behind.
CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Are for a while.
VETERAN FRIENDS: Are for life.
CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Have shared a few experiences...
VETERAN FRIENDS: Have shared a lifetime of experiences no citizen could ever dream of...
CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Will take your drink away when they think you've had enough.
VETERAN FRIENDS: Will look at you stumbling all over the place and say, "You better drink the rest of that before you spill it!!"
Then carry you home safely and put you to bed...
CIVILIAN FRIENDS: Will talk trash to the person who talks trash about you.
VETERAN FRIENDS: Will knock the the heck out OF THEM..... for using your name in vain.

Northwest Plaza for sale....AGAIN!

With thanks to Jimmy M. I bring you the story from the St. Louis Business Journal. Boy, that was a very short lived deal wasn't it. The "paper" is saying that Mayor Robinson has confirmed the sale of Crestwood Plaza (should be done by now,)so we should have some idea of what's going in there soon.

Things are moving ahead for us, and although I know all of us will never agree on what should go in there, something will, and I pray that it will benefit Crestwood, and you and I.

The business of Crestwood must move forward!

There can be no doubt that these are very troubling times for Kirkwood and Crestwood. In fact I would go so far as to say the events of these past few day's will no doubt alter our thinking from now on!

I am sure we all know, or knew someone who was involved in this tragedy, and we will mourn their loss for some time to come. I believe all five of the individuals who lost their lives on that day were dedicated to the betterment of Kirkwood, in fact I know they were, and we all will miss them greatly!

The question now is what do we take from this, what are we all willing to do to come together as a community? We all have our "agendas" in life, that's normal but things changed last Thursday night at a City council meeting. Things became a bit more complicated that they were before this tragedy.

Kirkwood is working on coming together since that fateful day as well they must, but what of Crestwood, can we, or should we do no less? I am not big on "touchie, feelie" things but this seems to be one time when we all need to reflect on the cares and concerns of each other and try to help each other.

In the coming months we will be looking at some large ticket items (Crestwood Plaza sale,) and how we handle ourselves during these times will reflect on us as a whole. I pray we can, and will show the same devotion to the Community that the slain Kirkwood officials did.

I look forward to your comments and suggestions!

The Kirkwood tragedy, "the truth will come out"

Folks we all feel a great loss, as well as an empty feeling inside when ever a tragedy like this occurs. I lost a friend (Bill Biggs) in the shooting, and the entire area lost some very fine public servants.

What can anyone say when this type of thing happens, why? What sort of rage must be pent up in a human being to do such a thing? Are we secure enough here? All these questions and more will be coming up in the days and weeks to follow, and I pray that we will have some answers for ourselves as well as our children.

If you will please click on the thread header you may begin to get some answers as to the mind set of the killer, I don't get it, but maybe you will. It is said the "Lord works in mysterious ways," Can we take something form this and tone down the remarks made here on this blog? Can we understand that were all in this boat together, and we must come together if we are to succeed? I hope so for the sake of the dead.

Valley Park moves ahead with banning illegals from being hired.

The U.S. District court has upheld the Valley Park ordinance against businesses from hiring illegal aliens. I have no idea where you stand on this issue, but if we are to secure our borders, and have a country this sort of thing is needed.

I have no problem with anyone with a clean background coming to live and work in this country as long as they have valid ID, a green card, or they are becoming U.S. citizens. Sadly this is not been the case in many areas. In way to many cases the illegals are receiving welfare, and social security benefits, and are not paying into the system.

Please click on the header to be directed to the story, and while your there reflect on whether this is the right thing to do considering all sides (forget the ACLU.)

The "paper" has a tongue in cheek comment about the Mayor!

Folks, I never thought I would live to see this day, why I almost thought that the "paper" was in fact coming in on the side of Mayor Robinson! Alas further reading of the editorial by Mr. Wasson reveals the same old rhetoric.

Yes, it's true that he is running unopposed this time, and it's also true that there have been a few closed door sessions, but what about all the good things that have happened with him, and the new BOA at the helm?

Click on the header and I believe you will see that Mr. Wasson follows the old party line of the "paper" in what appears to be lock step with his boss, unfortunate, as I thought there was a chance here for reconciliation, but no.

I am particularly interested in his quote at the end which should say it all for us, as he still seems to feel we are a bunch of rubes in need of his salvation. To that end, I have one for him as well.

"liberals, it's not that they are ignorant, it's just that they know so much that isn't so."

"Ronald Reagan"
