Alderman Miguel starts it, and local resident ends it with the City Attorney (audio up now,!.)

In a stunning display of "We the People" Martha Duchild tore into our beloved (?) City attorney, Rob Golterman (Of Lewis, Rice and Fingerish,) and had him squirming in his chair ! Not only was he squirming he had to admit that when it came to the FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION he was still learning ! What ? Were paying you $224.00 an hour and your still learning ? Rob, learn on Wildwood's time, not ours, and while your at it quit playing with your "I phone," and have your boss send out a first year law student to explain it to you.


Were that not enough he went on to say that (even though it was proven to him that he had two different opinions on the SAME part of the Civil Service rule in two years,) "I don't remember." (Reminds me of Hillary Clinton at the Grand Jury.)

Now that wasn't all either it also seems that the second paragraph of the rule was " a sin of omission," in that it wasn't in there when it was placed into the memorandum of understanding with the Fire Fighters Union, (according to another City official.) When asked about what the Fire Fighters interpreted it to mean, he finally said "I don't care !" Again Rob, what the heck does that mean, you don't care, and how dare you say that to a Citizen you work for ?


"His Honor" was of course worried about some 'conspiracy theory" getting around about him and the Fire Fighters and tried to preempt that by saying there wasn't one, (Really, Really ? What was it "Your Honor if not willful, and why ?)

All in all, I think we have a City Attorney who either needs some time at the "Shady Acres " rest home due to PTSD, or we are stuck with a guy who is trying out for the ninth district court of appeals (they have no idea what time it is either.)

A bit of levity for a change, I thought it was cute, so here goes !

Subject: 7 Reasons Not to Mess With Children

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales. The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small. The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale. Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human, it was physically impossible. The little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah." The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to hell?" The little girl replied, "Then you can ask him."

A kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work. As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was. The girl replied, "I'm drawing God." The teacher paused and said, "But no one knows what God looks like." Without missing a beat or looking up from her drawing the girl replied, "They will in a minute."

A Sunday School teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to "Honor thy Father and thy Mother," she asked, "Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?" Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, "Thou shall not kill."

One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head. She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, "Why are some of your hairs white, Mom?" Her mother replied, "Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white." The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, "Momma, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?"

The children had all been photographed and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture. "Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or 'That's Michael, he's a doctor.' A small voice in the back of the room rang out, "and there's the teacher, she's dead."

A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, "Now class, if I stood on my head the blood, as you know, would run into it and I would turn red in the face." "Yes," the class replied. "Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?" A little fellow shouted, "Cause your feet ain't empty."

The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note and posted it on the apple tray; "Take only ONE. God is watching." Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies. A child had written a note; "Take all you want. God is watching the apples."

I didn't write it but it is "keeper" if you ask me.

For all who would destroy America, this is our response ! I have been castigated for writing about other than Crestwood items here, but enough is enough ! Crestwood is but a microcosm of the political process in Washington, and the sooner we realize it the better off we will be !

Strange, when I was growing up if you were a patriot you were revered, not so much any more so it would seem. Well, I served in the military, still come to attention when the Flag passes, and I do believe in the United States of America !

Unfortunately there are those who do not, in fact they believe in the overthrow of America, I do not, nor will I ever ! GOD BLESS AMERICA !

The City of Ann Arbor, MI. lays off firemen but buys sculpture (Please click here for the story.)

Is it possible that the Mayor and his "four horsemen of the ridiculous" have relatives on the City Council in Ann Arbor, Michigan? Let me get this straight, we lay off a few firemen but we pay a German Artist $850,000.00 for a water sculpture ?

Wow, that sure does sound like Crestwood !

Gee whiz folks we have finally found a City Administrator with a higher salary that ours ! In this town of 38,000 our hero out there is getting darn near $800,000.00 per year, and the locals are incensed (do you blame them ?)

Amazing how no matter what the circumstances, or the financial plight the admin. folks still take home the most money ! Well what the heck is 97K (plus a take home car) among friends anyway ?

Oh, one other thing, have you noticed that our new web site is missing the "archives," convenient, no ? $7,000.00 for a new site that is hard to navigate, missing what we need to know, and is "retro 50's" at best. I guess that's the product of the admin. department, or at least the recommendation by one of the assistants ( Thanks for this waste of space and money !)

That's right. Since it's inception I have asked for any of you to please start a thread to no avail ! Now some of you are complaining about what I post, but none of you are sending me anything to post for you !

So, when you complain but do nothing to change the post trends I tend to think your not really very serious at all. That said it's really very simple to post what you wish here as a thread starter or a public announcement, here's how to do it.

Write your post, say what is on your mind, give us your reasoning, and send it to me at tford60@earthlink.net and I will place it on the blog with your name (if you wish.) Just remember we do not allow nasty language, accusations (with out your verifiable signature,) or anything outside to realm of decency.)

Could it be that the answer to our on going feral cat problem in Crestwood could be solved by a stroke of "His Honors" pen ? No wait, that would mean that 600 votes would be lost to "His Honor" come election time right Roy ?

Pretty sad that we continue to fund a DUPLICATE SERVICE while "allowing" our valued employees to pay more for their families health care ! But that's "His Honor" for you, me first and to Hades with everyone else !

Our great Nations birthday is upon us once again ! (click here for a real patriot !)

Please click on the header to see a tribute to a man who truly loved this great Nation. Whether you are into firearms or not I believe you will understand that ALL of our freedoms are intertwined. If I were to loose my second amendment rights it is only a matter of time before you loose your first, fourth, fifth, and sixth amendment rights, thus plunging us into a Communist State !

At this moment our Country is in grave danger of being taken over by Marxist socialism which can only lead us down the path of Communism in the future ! Now I am not advocating anything other than for all of you to recognize the facts as presented to you every day in America. It is important that we all recognize the sacrifices made by our fore fathers to insure our liberty, and to act accordingly !

I would like to wish Crestwood a safe and happy 4th of July celebration, and please never forget that we are all the caretakers of freedom. By the grace of God we will weather this storm and pass the torch of liberty to future generations !
