How about the City of Crestwood Police setting up a sobriety checkpoint for July 4th on the city's parking lot from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.?

what about outside Las Margaritas on a daily basis?
as the father of a police officer what is a Cop's feeling about the telling drivers that there will be a check point?
Doesnt that make them waste their time if the drivers know that there is a checkpoint and go around it?
As a father of TWO police officers, and an ex officer who has manned thoes check points, I feel very good about it!
The whole idea of announcing them is to stop DWI in the first place! believe me if you have nothing to do, it's a God given blessing.
If, as I have, you have seen what happens to families involved in a crash with a drunk driver, you would do whatever it takes to get them off the roads. Sure, it's a pain in the tail to go through a check point, dut at least you will make it home that night!
