The Crestwood Independent calls for a cessation of remarks reference prior leaders!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have repeatedly requested that we move forward with ideas to help the current administration, alas to no avail! I have been told that Crestwood citizens have decided to not read the blog because "it's the same old thing, slam the past leaders."

I spent some time today looking into these complaints, and you know what? Their right! So from today on, any post with the following in it will be deleted by me as soon as I see it.

1. Greer
2. Fagan
3. Robertson
4. Trueblood
5. Madrid
6. Maddox
7. Anyone else from any former administration, back to day one.

The idea of finding fault is an old one folks, we need to fix the problem's we have now, and I couldn't care less who caused them, there still our problems!

We have some of the best and brightest minds in the County right here, so let's use them to our advantage. Remember my Fathers old saying "who cares who killed Hitler, as long as the SOB is dead."

While your at it and with the extra time you have over the week end does this mean you will go back and delete all negative posts/comments about these people starting from the 1st day of the founding of your blog?
You should you know, because if the reason for deleting now is valid then it is also valid to the old posts as well.

You did read the part that says "from today on", didn't you?

No, I will not be removing them any more than I will be removing comments about me.

The reason to delete now is to move posters forward, period. I have asked for that for some time now to no avail, but from now on it will happen.

I see no need to dwell on the past, we have been over that ground now since last October, and all that can be said, has been said!

The remaining extra time I have over the weekend will be spent with my family, as it should be. If your not interested in following the new guidelines, may I suggest you do the same.

Just in case anyone wasn't aware of it, this blog is not free. The cost of a blog, and the server is $100.00 per year, and I pay it myself.

I say this not because I want donations, but rather to advise those who would like to start their own blog should know the cost's involved.

By the way, domain registration is another one time cost of $25.00, so you see, you have a bargan. You can post here, or at Mr. Trueblood's blog free of charge! So take advantage of both, and give us your opinions.

11:21 AM you just broke your new rule by commenting about one of the persons (a former alderman) on your list of banned names. Two city employees are in your list. Are you also banning the use of names of former city employees from being commented about on your blog?

1:18 PM, September 10, 2006
Blogger Crestwood Independent said...

Your not reading this are you. I didn't comment about Mr Trueblood, I REFERED people to his blog.

"Two city employees are in your list" ? What's that mean? No I am not banning the use if it is relivent to the future, meaning no negitive remarks about them.

Outcome based education rears it's ugly head!

BARF ALERT!!! When a COMMENT is left by the crestwoodindependent, it is not a comment but something else. He paid for it.

Blogger Crestwood Independent said...

Yes, I paid for it! When do we expect to see you show up with your check book?

"Barf alert"? Well I repeat, "outcome based education". Do you have any idea what the difference between a comment and a referal is? No you don't, nor will you ever, as your crowd likes to say, SAD!

5:51 PM "outcome based education": I know what referred means but not REFERED. I also don't know what a referal is but I know what a comment is. There is not a word referal but there is REFERRAL. From your blog: Leave your comment
You can use some HTML tags, such as ....
SAD.

Well, good for you! Mistakes will happen, but it's good to know we have a "walking dictonary" in Crestwood, that is wiling to assist me.

I only wish you were as willing to assist the Mayor, and the BOA!

I am fairly new to blogs, but have read a lot of interesting and helpful info about the city through this site. It has not been hard to look into things and separate fact from fiction, ugly from good. Name calling seems to be the MO of a certain element we have come to know as "City Children." It is easy to ignor the nonsense. Provides a lot of laughs actually. I have also read about the good, the bad and the ugly side of politics. Here again, it is not all that hard to figure out who cares about the city and who is too immature to care. Municipal gov't is not a playground, it is serious business. I'd say it pretty good insurance for us if there is a place to go for a
report card. Where else can we make it so clear that to mess up in this city is going to become public.

To say no more comments about a list of people is not exactly "freedom of the blog." Blogs are anonymous a lot of times I hear, and as I mentioned, the facts are not all that hard to find.

If we cannot mention the list as posted, which appears to be the former administration for the most part, then why do we have to read hateful blogs about the present Mayor and administration? For the sake of fairness all around, why will you let blogs call the Mayor Boss Haug; see the comments made about Houlihan's and Westfield Plaza, as well. Why differentiate? Ugly is Ugly. Fair is Fair. Once you start a prohibitive list of names and issues,it could grow and grow and grow and soon the blog is abandoned.

Seems you are placing an unfair advantage to some and a disadvantage to others. There is plenty of heat to go around. dontcha think?

Maybe if you made two lists, we could see who steps over the freedom of info line first and most.

Ok, good point! I am going to allow all of you to make that call. If you want the list taken down, say so. If you want the list to include present people, say so.

I will tally up the "votes", and we shall proceed from there. One thing though, please remain civil and let's not attack anyone for no other reason than "we don't like him"

The "Boss Hog" remarks are not only idiotic, the seem to represent a group of "Desprate Housewives", (male or female,) and as such not needed. If you have a legitimate complaint, say so, but lay off the name calling.

These are serious times, and we need serious people to work with us to remidy the mess were in, not people who try to be "cute."

If there is to be a list of people then I respectfully submit the following, who have been city supporters ostrasized at either a public BOA Meeting or on this blog by the other list as (anonymous) and their associates:

1. Sandra Grave
2. Jim Murphy
3. James Murphy
4. Donald and Faye Clark
5. Roy Robinson
6. Catherine Barrett
7. Jerry Miguel
8. Kent Licklider
9. Mr. Wuebbels
10. Martha Duchild
11. Jacque Stock
12. Richard Breeding
13. Roger Anderson
14. CCFFR Civic Group
15. Tom Ford
16. Tom Ford's son
17. Anyone I missed

You see, in most cases, these civic minded individuals did nothing to deserve the "tongue lashing" they received. On the other list, there are individuals who did.

Accountability, reputation, attitude and performance in municipal government are part of the job description. Residents have every right to expect all four of these attributes and more from their elected officials and their city employees.

Hi Tom,

My vote is for you to rescind your request. Censorship in any form is not conducive to the free exchange of ideas.

Thanks,

Ok the votes are in on the "first ammendment" question reference the blog.

Effective at once (per the majority,) we shall allow whatever you wish to post on present, past, or wannabe leaders.

I will require you to be civil, keep the "hate speech" out of it, and treat others as you wuold be treated, cause it may come back at you!

Hate speech is in the eye of the blogger.
One posters hate speech is another posters freedom of speech.

Suggestion for the following:

8. Kent Licklider
9. Mr. Wuebbels

Kent Leichliter, former City Administrator to Crestwood.

Bob Wuebbels, former Director of Finance to Crestwood.

Who is Kent Licklider?

By the way, I agree with Martha Duchild on protecting our 1st amendment rights for all citizens of USA.

Please tone down the use of bad words!

How do you know if your list is accurate?

Are you a public official or staff member for the City of Crestwood?

What is ostrasized?

Did you mean ostracized?

Tom,

What does CCFFR actually mean?

4:57 PM, September 15, 2006
Blogger Crestwood Independent said...

4:57 blogger, the CCFFR (Crestwood Citizens For Fiscal Responsibility,) was formed to stop the out of control spending on the failed police station.

We felt at that time it was not needed, and way over budget! (Boy, if we only knew by how much then.)

As for now it's become a "code word" for bad as used by the old guard, and the swim club, why I have no idea.

I would think everyone would be for fiscal responsibility, but aparently I am wrong there, else why would they be so eager to trash us?

Please bring Crestwood back by supporting the Mayor's plan for recovery!

8/11 blogger

Surely you don't think your cute little PLAN "wave" is going to impress us. Just love the tacky way you post it all over the blog. What character, what amazing character. Mama would be so proud.

You know if I was a Mayor and after being sworn in I found out the cupboard was bare, I would say "hey now" looks like the plan will change and the entire BOA will be very busy formulating a mutual plan together. I, for one, am more than willing to give the Mayor the benefit of the doubt on this one. What kind of twit are you anyway?

Under these circumstances and the fact that you don't have a clue what a mess things at city hall had become, why don't you see if their is another community somewhere that needs you. You obviously have no plan other than to let your mouth overload your bazoola.

Cherrio sweet thang!

Well going into the mayor's campaign, he certainly thought that the GO bonds (solution provided by previous administration) were NOT the way to solve Crestwood's problem. He has stated he had meetings prior to his election with "knowledgable people" and had a plan. If the bonds were not the way to go, I for one would like to see another solution.

We should all get in step with the mayor. His plan is the blueprint to Bring Crestwood Back. Those who criticize the mayor and his plan should move out of Crestwood. Peace brothers and sisters.

Doesn't take rocket science to realize that today, someone possibly hit a serious hormonal nerve.

Maybe that nerve was attached to dreams of a string bikini, or stringing holiday lights.

So, now it is possible we all know exactly where this nerve resides. No big surprise.

Toolie oouh!

So that's how you spell toolie ouuh!
Makes more sense than the male pig coment about harmones and string bikini, but what can one expect from the conflicted man/child who will not lend his massive, throbbing support to the mayors plan?
Everything is a sex joke to the 12:23 poster which is an attempt to cover up his, shall we say. own short comings. Here is an opening for him to support his mayor and his plan but all he can do is make stupid jokes.
