Moving the historic Crain house from Arban to it's new lot!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the historic Crain house will be moved from Arban to it's new location starting a 04:00 (4 AM) on Sunday morning, 10/8/06! If you have never seen a house moved, this is a great chance to do it, meet your neighbors, have some coffee, and watch Crestwood history go by.

If you go please make sure you stay out of the way completely, this can be a hazardous undertaking at best, and we don't need to be in the way!

By the way, Denny's is right down the street for breakfast after the move!

Well, as Chester A. Riley would say, "what a revoltin development this is!"

The police department had it scheduled, I had it scheduled, and some of you had it scheduled!

I guess we all forgot to tell the house movers, they didn't attend the event!

I will try to find out when the next target date is, and advise on this post. Sorry if I got you out of bed for the move, but hey it was a wonderfull morning to be alive!

This is just the lastest misinformation posted on this blog. I'm glad that I didn't follow what was on this blog, stayed in bed and missed this fiasco.

I'm glad you did also, the sunrise looked much better without a grouch to mess it up! By the way, T.T. has a brand new post on his blog, and he sure could use the readers, so, if you wish, go for it.

Tom,

I checked out Tim's website, and his information regarding the number of charter-related ballot issues (and their accompanying proposition numbers) is inaccurate.

According to the county board of elections website there are five Crestwood charter ballot issues numbered one through five consecutively.

Martha,
check out Tim's website and you will see the error he made has been acknowledged. A vote for Prop. One is not a vote for the ending of term limits.

Well, the Crain House may go next Sunday morning about the sane time. I will attempt to verify.

Not only will it be a "moving experience", it could also be an "earth shaking event"! Why you could also say that it may "shaken to it's very timber's"!

At the BOA meeting last night it was mentioned that the Crain house will be moved on 10/15/06, 04001

they need MODOT permits, and if the arrive on time, off it goes!

Stay tuned, and to the "grouch", please stay in bed!

Just got a reverse 911 call from Crestwood Police - This Sunday, October 15, Watson Road will be closed from Sappington Road to Grant Road from 5:00AM to 10:00AM.
This is to facilitate the moving of the Crain house.

It looks like a go this time! The house has been moved to the old Minike lot, and should go at 5:00 tomorrow.
