Anyone have an opinion of the cost to the city in interest on this debt?

Interest is estimated to be approximately $430,000 but could be a lot more and there is the very strong liklihood that collateral, such as City Hall, will be required.

Just got a reverse 911 call from Crestwood Police - This Sunday, October 15, Watson Road will be closed from Sappington Road to Grant Road from 5:00AM to 10:00AM.
This is to facilitate the moving of the Arban-Crain house.

This 4.5% interest rate is great for the city. I'm in favor of it. Good work all!

How do you know the interest rate is 4.5% when no public information can be released about the RFP responses yet? Huh?

that's the interest rate they quoted at the meeting. it's a great rate - only 1-1.5% or so above what the original Go bonds would've cost.

Oh those GO Bonds would have been perfect. Solved all the world's problems. We all need more GO Bonds. GO GO Bonds.

From the SunCrest Call article
"Crestwood aldermen to consider resolution approving 25 one-year priorities for city" 10-11-2006 by Burke Wasson

"To ensure the city's priorities beyond its 25 goals for the next year are addressed, Myers said it is necessary for aldermen and staff to go through the planning process with Sumek each year."

So I'm assuming that $8000 or more is going to be spent each year on this?

I'm sure it will be more - this year was at a discount according to the CA.

You are kidding, right? More next year?

Not exactly sure on the price but Frank Myers did say Crestwood should have the consultant back next year.

The CA should focus on the items outlined. I doubt if a new adgenda needs to be formulated next year. The top 5 have already been on Crestwood's focus prior to the consultant's visit. Making lists and accomplishing those goals are two different things.

Hopefully it won't be in the budget after Elliot Davis's story.
