What is unique about it? You mean it is unique for our part of town?

Yes, I guess, but I digress.

As many of you know by now, a Starbucks coffe shop will be on the cornor of the development (the drive through area.) That alone will draw the high end stores, and also the high end shoppers!

This development will go a long way in helping Crestwood, and also give all of us an exciting new shopping area!

Well it is in Crestwood, no? We have nice centers now, but this one will solve some of the problems of getting across Watson Rd. As well as cross access to the Schnuck's center, something we haven been used to.

If we get the type of stores I think we will, it may indeed be "unique!" Time will tell.

I can't get too excited about Starbucks. They recently announced plans for 40,000 stores worldwide. (Can you say oversaturation?) There is a Starbucks at Kingshighway and Chippewa. Not much going on there.

Don't get me wrong, nice to have but by no means the savior of Crestwood. They will be as common as McDonalds.

I also can't get excited about subsidizing the development. This is wrong in so many ways.

Tom,

What a coincidence that a local resident has a son named Daniel Oettel!

Isn't our Ward 2 candidate's name Danielle Oettle?

Yes, the local resident's would be the Clark's! that is something to think on as I doubt there are that many people in the counry with that sir name!

The Clarks from the CCFR? Are they related to the lady running for Alderman in Ward Two?

Blogger Crestwood Independent said...

No, no relationship at all! Just the name is the same, no more, no less!

OETTLE and OETTEL are not the same spelling.

Is this curiosity on bloggers part or a need to play the politics card? Just wondering.

The candidate lives in Ward 2 of course. The other person lives out of state somewhere.

12:01 am blogger: you are correct. I believe he lives out west. Also, I was wondering the same thing (politics,) else what difference does it make?

The "silly season" is always a very interesting time of the year.

Someone had to work overtime digging hard to try and stir up some kind of unecessary non pertinent nonsense. Guess he can't spell. But then, this is what he does best. What an amazing waste of time. Guess he has had a dry run for awhile and could no longer contain himself. It will forever amaze me how this poor distraught troublemaker continues to let the patriotic actions of a group of truly nice and active residents, the CCFFR, (who did a profound job of helping turn this city around)move him to look for a parallel in names for the Ward 2 candidate. One has to wonder if the citizen referendum against the 14.5 Million Dollar city hall fiasco killed some promise of under the table gain and continues to stick soundly in someone's craw.

Seems the feet, the minds, the hearts, the clipboards and the 3 ring binders prevailed and things are looking a darned sit rosier for Crestwood.

I agree with you poster 10:44, until Tom brought up the name the Clarks in his post of 7:07 the Clark's name had never been brought up. I guess Tom wanted to stir it up a little, why I dont know but it was Tom who started it. Maybe he is getting something under the table from them?

You have to get off that stuff! Now just what would Tom be getting anywhere, much less "under the table!" Tom mentioned the name only, I repeat, ONLY because I knew of the Clark's son.

If you can "connect any of the dot's," please feel free to enlighten us, as to what, where, when, and how!

The Clark's son? I thought Tom said his last name is Oettel not Clark? If it is their son shouldn't his last name be Clark?
Tom, why are you stirring this stuff up?

Not to sound too much like a commercial sellout, but I can't wait for the Starbucks to open. BTW when will the old farmhouse be put on a foundation or did someone forget about it already?
