Crestwood new police cars to arrive on Wednsday!

Ladies and Gentlemen, we will finally be seeing 10 new police cars on Crestwood streets this week! This has been a long time coming as some of the police vehicles are 10 years old!

What a great sign of the recovery we have all be hoping for, and at less than the budget called for this year!

Good job Mr. Myers, Mayor Robinson and the board of Aldermen!

What about the job the committee who worked on this whole thing did?

Pray tell, what committee? I have never heard of a "committee to purchase City vehicles?"

I will be glad to add them to the list if you tell me who to add.

Why didn't they stagger the purchase so that they could have a few new cars every year? And also possibly realize efficencies from newer models.

Why because that makes too much sense. You gotta spend the money while you got it or someone else will. That's the sad truth.

You get the best lease available at the time, and you go for it, that's why.

Seems like the County and the City police have much larger budgets and much bigger areas to patrol.

Just wondering, what is their rationale for purchasing smaller police cars?
