Mrs. Duchilds letter to the paper!

I know you all expected me to "start A new thread to save the Mayor," and I wasn't going to do it, but hey, this is too great a letter, and thus a post to resist! (click on the header, please.)

I would hope that the people involved with this deal have an answer for Mrs. Duchild, but I doubt it, and while I am at it, The Mayor is not the one that "needs saving!" Mrs. Duchild brings up some very valid questions! How do you sell what you don't own? Or, how do you get "public" funds for the sale of property you do own (if we are to believe THF owned the property!)

As I see it you can't transfer property you do not own to anyone for whatever, and I am at a loss as to how you receive public tax funds for property owned by others!

Which one is it swim club officials? Someone must have the answer to her questions, no?

Wow, it is now the 24th and this blog was put on on the 19th. And ... not a single post. Imagine that all the swimmers have dried up and are undertowel. It appears Mrs. Duchild has hit a nail squarly on the head and there is no defense for the matter. No noise from the peanut gallery.

Does anyone else think this lack of response from the usually very noisy swimmers complete with sarcasm, and cute posts, seem strange. Must have water in their lungs.

This matter will not go away. There is a bottom to it and it behooves officials, residents and Mr. Nixon to find it. Best idea I can think of is to just fill it all in and secede from the spot and give the neighbors back their summer life. Before this, however, I think the entire city of Crestwood needs to have the complete story. Call the Riverfront Times and let them do an update on their earlier article on this situation. Their previous story was right on target. Many in this city who do not even know it is there or how it got there need to be appraised of this total indescretion and which of their officials helped it get there.

AT any rate, thank you Mrs. Duchild for your insight on the matter. Let's hope the Board of Aldermen read the letter and realize this is a hot potato and time to get to the bottom of it. What on earth was THF thinking? Those lawyers at Rosebrook must have been amazing.
