Traffic light at Big Bend and Holmes Ave. (or who thought this one up?)

Is it me, am I the only one who can't get out of Holmes Ave. onto Big Bend most of the time? If your not living in the lower section of Ward two you probably have no idea what I am talking about, but if you do, you get it completely!

St. Louis County traffic (engineers?) did a study a while back and installed a traffic light on the wrong street (my opinion) thus making it next to impossible to turn left onto Big Bend from Holmes Ave. (or from west bound Big Bend into Holmes Ave.)

This is a very dangerous intersection, and must be straightened out before we start losing some residents to the failure of County Highway Dept. to understand how the flow of traffic really work's!

Please give me your comment's, and rest assured they will be passed on to Mr. Jim Eckrige as well as St. Louis County traffic control.

This was covered in Board meetings over 5 years ago, where were you then and where have you been?

The traffic light that peeves me is the one at Grant's Trail and Sappington Road. I can't begin to count the times that I've been stopped by a red light, only to find that the @#%* who pushed the crossing light button has already crossed, and is now 500' down the *%#@!#$ trail, while I and ten other cars wait for the light to change.

7:09 AM blogger: I know this was covered then, but this is NOW! You may not be aware of it but times, and traffic patterns do change!

I have no idea where your coming from unless it's to trash everything but your own agenda (which must leave something to be desired.) So if you have a relevant comment. post it, if not go back to the soap's!

Tom, if you knew the study was performed, you probably know that to rectify the situation would cost too much money. Don't have any of that just laying around city hall for convenience sake. Take the long way around to be safe.

12:53 PM blogger: Your right we can't afford it at all! However this light is the property (and venue) of St. Louis County, not Crestwood, so we would owe nothing.

Well during the presentation they admitted to having a problem but still too expensive to change. I do believe the city of Crestwood would have some financial responsibility.
