What would an OPEC oil minister say to Congress? (from a retired Marine aviator.)
If you ask me this is no doubt what would be said if we gave these folks the chance to do it. I have no idea why most of the Country can't grasp this, but sadly they can't!
OPEC minister will look the democrat controlled House in the eyes and would state:
" We are at war with you infidels. Have been since the embargo in the 1970s. You are so arrogant you haven't even recognized it. You have more missiles, bombs, and technology; so we are fighting with the best weapon we have and extracting on a net basis about $700 billion/year out of your economy. We will destroy you! Death to the infidels!
While I am here I would like to thank you for the following:
Not developing your 250-300 year supply of oil shale and tarsands. we know if you did this, it would create millions of jobs for US citizens, expand your engineering capabilities, and keep the wealth in the US instead of sending it to us to finance our war against you infidels.
Thanks for limiting defense dept. purchases of oilsands from your neighbors to the north. We love it when you confuse your allies.
Thanks for over regulating every segment of your economy and thus delaying, by decades, the development of alternate fuel technologies.
Thanks for limiting drilling off your coasts, in Alaska, and anywhere there is a bug, bird, fish, or plant that might be inconvenienced. Better that your people suffer! Glad to see our lobbying efforts have been so effective.
Corn based Ethanol. Praise Allah for this sham program! Perhaps you will destroy yourself from the inside with these types of policies. This is a gift from Allah, praise his name! We never would have thought of this one! This is better than when you pay your farmers NOT TO GROW FOOD. Have them use more energy to create less energy, and simultaneously drive food prices through the roof. Thank you US Congress!!!!
And finally, we appreciate you letting us fleece you without end. You will be glad to know we have been accumulating shares in your banks, real estate, and publicly held companies. We also finance a good portion of your debt and now manipulate your markets, currency, and economies to our benefit.

wow. you have outdone yourself tom. You've insulted not only middle-easterners by sterotyping them, but you've insulted americans by implying that we are all dumb.
i hope there are some middle-eastern residents in crestwood that read this post and share their feelings on it too.
I think it's a great post. To 10:56, what will it take to get your head out of the sand? Never mind, I guess it's permanently stuck there.
I don't see how the post stereotypes middle easterners - it is talking about the people who are at war with we infidels - if the shoe fits...

We will never win a war when we are fight barbarians who would blow themselves up to blow you and I up.
We will never win a war where you deal with people who have more regard for dying than living.
That is what I feel we are up against. And you will never win a war against people who are so used to violence in their own religion that they have become like a ferrell cat who is used to living wild and without regard.
We have spent more on this war than we have on giving Katrina victims in our own country, half of what they deserve as people who, like in war, have lost everything and are part of the United States of America.
We spend more on saving other countries than we do saving our own.
Even some of our allies have not joined us in this savage and blood thirty war.

Remember the Oklahoma City bombing, 9/11, and all of the airline hostage crashes. What about the person who got a "free ride" on one of our airlines because customs wasn't paying attention? Great surveillance NO?
I also think that we have sacrificed our sons and daughters enough in this war. In the wake of all the disasters in Irag, even if our children make it home, many are never the same and if you think that isn't bad enough, see what kind of assistance you get from the Veteran's Administration. Sorry, but again, our government cares more about supplying other countries in need, rather than step up the process of giving our veterans first choice.
I am really sick and tired of giving everything away to other countries, when I see how much it costs us to get decent health care and housing not only for those who are poor, but median income people. People here live longer but have to pay ridiculous health care costs that can wipe out savings in a heartbeat.
It really upsets me.

I agree wholeheartedly on the above, what I was saying is their not doing it now. I think we must get past the P /C idiocy and start to profile at the transport centers as they do in most other countries (Israel,England.)
The airline security is like a colander, only the obvious is seen, and sometimes not even then!
As far as the VA is concerned, I have first hand knowledge of that group, and I am not at all happy with the results!
Your last paragraph is right on the money as far as I am concerned! Just look at Burma (the other name is not recognized yet.) We tried to do the right thing, they refused, so let's bring the food, the planes, and the personnel home and let them (the crooked government) fend for themselves!
Harsh? You bet, but why do we need to bow before the alter of crooked communists in the first place?
I am with you, this would go a long way toward feeding a few of our kids who desperately need it.
