This was sent to me by a long time Crestwood resident who knows that these TIF, TDD, CID proposals must be looked at extremely carefully over the next couple of years.
We are in a malaise that has not been seen for quite some time now, and it would be very easy to be attracted to a developer who promises to "save" us!
I suggest we all read this (Alderman especially,) and make very, very sure we can afford the long range costs of being "saved" before we agree to any deals!

Let's just sit back and wait.. Washington D.C. will bail us out and fix the Mall. No need to consider TIF, CID, TDD etc.... D.C. will pay for it all.
11:30 AM blogger: and so it seems, however they may be cutting one billion from the 3 trillion dollar budget according to the latest news!
"Now that's one heck of a cut?" So we may well end up with nothing (literally) if they keep it up!
One simple question? Is this the "hope and change" anyone voted for, or expected? Because it sure isn't what most thought they were going to get!

Has any one heard if Crestwood will take our burnt out light bulbs that we are now supposed to use? Oprah said to take them to your local government for disposal.
Of course it's true, Oprah said so. If you go to the executive offices, there is a can in the Mayor's office right next to his desk. You can dispose of them there.

She was the one trumpeting the need for "CFL's" in the first place, and she is the one responsible for the ban on incandescence's in 2012!
