It is widely believed that King Solomon wrote the book of Ecclesiastes on the behalf of god. So God didn't actually say that, it was merely Solomon's interpretation of what god may have said. King Solomon was a noted adulterer.
6:57 PM Blogger: Franky, I spent 12 years in Lutheran schools and I have never herd that anyone who wrote any portion of the Bible did so on their own.
It is widely considered to be the word of God in the circles I travel in, so I will accept it as is.
