Afghanistan "war dog" mistakenly euthanized! (click here for the story.)

This is one of those three hankey stories that should never, ever have happened! Now we have kid's heart broken, the owner heart broken, and a dead dog just because some idiot had to get in on the deal!

"Target," sleep well oh tried and true companion.

PS: It looks as though we have an excellent chance of this happening here (see the site below.)

given your sudden concern for well run shelters, why are you so anxious to shut the Crestwood one down?

Because it is a completely subsidized business using my tax money.

Will you help me finance a business by paying the salary of a manager, providing the utilities (tax payer money), the building
(owned by the taxpayers)insurance (taxpayers money) and transportation for the manager (taxpayers money)?

IF not, then quite taxing me for the subsidy.

Absolutely. When do you plan to open? And what business are you planning to start? Where will your business be located? I'm so excited I can't wait.

8:31 PM Blogger: Glad you asked that! Well my 'concern" is with the fact that we cannot afford to run this shelter anymore, plain and simple.

As you may well know any dog left over 7 days at our place is sent to County anyway, so my "concern" is with making that shelter better.

Animal control? No what we have is an animal adoption club that has glommed onto our tax moneys that could be much better be used elsewhere.

You notice that two positions recently vacated have not been filled in an attempt to conserve right?

Well considering the fact that "his Honor" needs the votes from the animal adoption group I GUARANTEE you that her position would be filled before Sissie had time to hit the floor.

All this time I hear whining and moaning about a need for a "tax increase," and yet duplicate services like this are glaring reasons not to grant one!

Well it's happened again, this time it's the duo of John Foote and Ms. Karen Rainey at the BOA meeting!

I will post the audio of the "Dynamic Duo" as soon as it's completed.
