Letter to the Call by David Brophy, PH.D (click here to read please.)

Dr. Brophy is 100% correct in his assessment of Mr. Jeff Schlink in the coming race for Mayor of Crestwood ! We have a stellar opportunity to change the direction that Crestwood is headed in, and with Mr. Schlink at the helm it will happen.

We have had six years of "failed" leadership as it is, can we really afford any more ? I join Dr. Brophy in asking for your vote for Jeff Schlink for Mayor of Crestwood this April.

Yes, very good. Accurate with a sense of humor regarding our current mayor!

Actually, typical of the negative attitude he displays as always. Does he ever smile?

Yes he does. And I smiled after I read his letter.

Typical Roy supporter, attack the messenger because they have no defense for message.

"typical Roy supporter"?? Good Heavens, let's be childish, shall we?

Must have struck a nerve, still not addressing the message, just attacking the messenger

10:22 blogger - Out of the 6 paragraphs, only one was negative - and that was toward the incumbent, Roy Robinson.

The other 5 paragraphs were positive.

Dr. Brophy simply used his freedom of speech. Or is that a negative in your book?

The Call came out today and when you turn to the "letters to the editor" section you will see a letter by Alderman Foote.

So what you say ? Well Mr. Foote has spent time and effort attacking long time and trusted resident Dr. David Brophy for his views as to whom should be the next Mayor !

I guess when Mr. Foote ran out of reasons to re-elect the current Mayor (two sentences in, he decided to attach the messenger, and former friend Dr. Brophy.)

I am not at all surprised as Mr. Foote has been in lock step with "His Honor" for the last few years that we know of, so why should it change now ?

maybe Dr. Brophy had forgotten about his support of Fagen.

Turns out a lot of people now wish they had voted for Fagen.

5:48 PM Blogger: I guess it wasn't OK for Dr. Brophy to back whom he wanted to ?

I myself was an ardent supporter of "His Honor" in the early days before he turned on his friends, and I guarantee you I WILL VOTE FOR JEFF SCHLINK this time.

Dr. Brophy did an excellent job of explaining what he sees in Mr. Schlink, and why he is voting for him. Should he now be vilified by a "tax and spend" Alderman for exercising his right to vote for the best man in the race ?

Think about it.

6:02 PM Blogger: I can guarantee you they do !

That is one of the great things about America though, they won't make the same mistake twice !

Whatever you do get out on election day and vote for your choice for mayor. You don't need someone to tell you who to vote for, you know who the best man for the job is.

That said, God willing I will see you at the polls.

Let's see if current American voters return Mr. Obama and Roy to office before we talk about mistakes

Mr Foote's letter to the editor was a waste of space. No substance. No objective. Just silly statements. Typical sermon from John Foote.

I am surprised by the lack of canopy fires in the sermon.

I was surprised he didn't mention declining sales tax revenues and how we need to raise taxes and how we have the absolute best and brightest people in the whole wide world and adjoining universes working for Crestwood and how we need to raise taxes and how we need to deal with the upcoming economic storm and the past economic storm and how we need to raise taxes and how revenues have declined and how homeowners hardly pay anything and how we need to raise taxes and how we need to raise taxes and build a bridge so our fire department can drive over it but they really can't fight a canopy fire but it might happen anyway that's why we need that bridge and how we need to raise taxes and how we have declining sales tax revenue and how shoppers paid the bill and now it's up to the homeowner to pay the bills and how we need to raise taxes and we've cut everything to the bone that the city can barely survive and how we need to raise taxes.

1:23 AM Blogger: Correct and one more thing for Alderman Foote to consider by a well respected statesman.

“I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.”

by Winston Churchill

Alderman Foote, that extends to Cities and Fiefdoms as well.
