Meet your Alderman, Ward One Alderman, Darryl Wallach (Per his Bio on the City Web Site.)

Darryl Wallach – Ward 1
(314) 968-1216
dwallach@ci.crestwood.mo.us

My wife Laurie and I have been proud Crestwood residents since 1996. We moved to Crestwood due to its centralized location and our history to this community. We have wonderful neighborhoods and residents, numerous parks, public safety departments (police and fire), and our homes are in the top-tier Lindbergh School District.

I am a graduate from Northeast Missouri State University (Truman State University – Kirksville, MO) with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Professionally I have been in the insurance industry for over 20 years.

I have been the past chairman of the Crestwood Public Works Board. My wife and I have volunteered at the Humane Society of Missouri.

Our city, like many others, is facing the challenge of a declining retail sales tax base that affects the revenue stream that we relied on from our retail community. Crestwood will persevere. We will create an exciting community to work, play, live, and raise families.

For the continued well-being of Ward 1 residents and our City, I offer my service to serve and to earn your trust. If you should have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to call or correspond electronically.

Until former Mayor Robinson change this, the City of Crestwood always had an outside negotiator who negotiated for the City the agreement of understanding with Fire Fighters Union . The negotiator was replaced by the city Administrator and City Attorney by former Mayor Robinson. Recently the former Mayor and some members of the BOA acted to change the Charters rules on City employees campaigning for a City election.
Would you support the City of Crestwood removing it's staff from labor negotiations and returning to the use of professional negotiator as was used in the past?

Enjoyed reading your bio on this blog Mr. Wallach. I have been to a few board of alderman meeting and have observed your demeanor, which is very professional and you seem to discuss issues wihout all the fluff which some of the others do. So, although we haven't met, you have my mark of approval.
