Were the Texas Rangers "cursed?" There is a story on The Drudge Report that asks that question. What do you think?

The last time I remember a team being "cursed" was of course the always failing Chicago Cubs and that goat thing. This is uncharted ground for a major league baseball team as if in fact the "curse" is on there is only one place to have it removed, Chicago! Well we all know how well that worked for the Cubs, no?

At any rate, that was some series, and we can be proud of our team and our Community as not one riot (AKA Chicago) was in evidence! Well done Cards!

what's the difference between a hot dog at Busch Stadium and a hot dog at Wrigley Field?

You can get one at Busch Stadium in October!

10:03 PM Blogger: Kerra, good one, how about the Cubs and Michael Jackson having one thing in common.........

They both wore one glove for no apparent reason.

LOL!!
Here's one:
A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a Cubs fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they were Cubs fans too. Not really knowing what a Cubs fan was but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands explode into the air like fleshy fireworks.

There is, however, one exception. One girl has not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different. “Because I’m not a Cubs fan.”

Then, asks the teacher, what are you?

“Why I’m proud to be a St. Louis Cardinals fan,” boasts the little girl.

The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks the girl why she is a Cardinals fan.

“Well, My Dad and Mom are Cardinals fans, and I’m a Cardinals fan too.”

The teacher is now angry. “That’s no reason,” she says loudly. “What if your Mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron. What would you be then?”

A pause, and a smile. “Then,” says the girl, “I’d be a Cubs fan.”

My husband and I look forward to watching the series every year on television. It's a tradition no matter which teams play.

This one was the best ever. We loved it and can't help loving Lance and David, of course, and the others. If this wasn't a test of determination and skill, I don't know what was.

Game six when David Freeze hit that ball - my husband and I went crazy.

I commend all of the Cardinals and Tony for making this series one of the best we have ever had. The guys worked sooo hard and we should be proud. Of course, plaudits to the squirrel - that was a real hoot!!!!!

To quote my dad - St. Louis will always be a "baseball town"!

The rally squirrel was indeed a hoot! I loved every second of this series, and watched every inning. The cards showed what true determination and grit can accomplish. Go Cards!

ladies, a guy walks into a bar in Chicago with a small dog and orders a beer. The bartender tells him he can't be served because of the dog, where upon he starts to cry!

The bartender tells him it's not personal but rather the board of health won't allow the dog to be in there.

The guy snivels that his family was killed in a wreck the week before, and all he wanted to so was to watch the Cardinal, Cubs game on TV. The bar tender relents and tells him to sit at the end of the bar and keep the dog quiet.

The guy and the dog are sipping a beer when the Cubs hit a triple! The dog does back flips all the way down the bar, and back to the guy. The bar tender comes over and exclaims, "wow, that's some trick, what does he do if the Cubs hit a home run?"

The guy says, I don't know, we have only had him 6 years!

And so it goes with the Cubs!

Cardinals "snubbed" by obama! Good grief, this fool has no idea whether a baseball is pumped or stuffed, and he "snubs" us?

No doubt a progressive / liberal CUBS fan!
