Tim Trueblood?????? Wasn't he part of the Don Greer reign? You know the Mayors resigning in the middle of the night, $800 month car allowances, $500,000+ attorney bills for a lawsuit that the City ended of loosing, $1,000,000 lines of credit backed by City property, new police station that we couludn't afford... the list goes on. Tim is NOT what Crestwood needs right now!

7:14 PM Blogger: Read your Crestwood history, Tim Trueblood voted against the Don Greer ideas most of the time , and he was the ONLY Alderman who consistently voted the wishes of Ward Two citizens.

Tim Trueblood is a fiscal conservative with the prior and current knowledge to get us moving in the right direction, consequently Tim Trueblood is EXACTLY what we need in Crestwood!

Sorry but we have had enough of the "tax and spend" crowd in the mold of Pickel, Foote, Beasley, and Duncan. They know that if Tim Trueblood is elected their 'voting block" will be over, and it needs to be!

Sorry Tom, but Tim voted to appoint Don Greer CA, for Don's car allowance, he voted for the lawsuit that cost the City $500,000+ it didn't have. He was in the middle of the police palace cluster. I have no doubt Tim is conservative when it comes to his politics... He just was in Don's pocket and made some VERY bad votes that help Crestwood still hasn’t recovered from. Do we want go back to that time?

To: Anonymous - is there some way you can elaborate on the lawsuit that cost $500,000 that Tim voted for? I really would like to know! Diplomatically, without upsetting anyone, can you please tell me what the lawsuit was about? I don't know of any or can't remember any that cost that much unless you are referring to the dismissal of the CA. Thanks.

11:40 AM Blogger: "Anonymous," take a look here and tell me where I am wrong.

1. Did he vote for Greer to be C/A? Yes he did, along with 7 other members of the BOA

2. Lawsuit ? The prior C/A Suit I guess? Tim voted for the removal and acceptance of his severance package, but Who filed the suit, City or the former C/A? Who who was the City's Lawyer giving the BOA legal advise at that time?

3. Police Palace AKA CITY HALL, please understand, it was not just the police part of City Hall that would have been refurbished. There was no benefit for his support of City Hall project, he works for a trucking company, not an architectural firm.

In retrospect it was a mistake to think City could afford the refurbishment of City Hall, he made an error, just like the bridge to no-where is an error, it happens.

You will of course be at the "meet and great" for ALL the candidates, won't you?

Tom:

1. Tim not only voted to appoint Greer, he voted to allow him to "purchase" his late model city owned vehicle after it had been depreciated as a "police" car utlizing acrued vacation time AND provide him with an $800/month car allowence. (All found in the State Audit)

2. Tim continued to support paying Greer's buddy lawyer Chris Hesse over $500,000 on a case that was unwinable. Ultimatley the City ended up paying the former CA his contract and attroney's fees and Mr. Hesse a cool half a million.

3. Tim voted to continue the police palace (90% of the project was a brand new stand alone police station) and spend $100,000 on drawings even though the City was borrowing $$ to keep itself afloat.

Tim had his shot. Time for someone who doesn't have the baggage of the past to have theirs.

11:21 PM Blogger: Really? Just who would you suggest?

I have heard that a "hand picked" candidate (by Alderman Foote) is sitting in the wings, is that who you have in mind?

If so, do you think that Ward Four Alderman should "choose" Ward Two Alderman?

The "tax and spend" mentality would then be rampant in Crestwood right? No thank you!

Dear Anonymous 11:21 PM, January 12, 2012.

You may not be aware of this, but as a rule I do not respond to questions directed towards me by posters who do not give their name.
I am NOT making an exception in your case. But I do want to answer your questions, because in this elections season, if I can not or don't, then I really can't say if elected, my first goal would be to be the voice of Ward 2 citizens in City Hall.
Let's see if you and I can work this out.
Here is my email address

stltimt@gmail.com

This is my cell #

314 378 0434

If you are a resident of Ward Two, call or email me, let's have a discussion. If you like, I'm more than willing to meet you face to face at a location of your choice.
If I can not answer your phone call, leave a message. and I will call you.
If you are unsure about meeting me alone, bring someone with you.
If you don't want me to know who you are, wear a mask at our meeting.
I am waiting to hear from you soon.

We have conformation of attendance from all but one candidate (Mary Statter) as of this writing.

It is shaping up to be a good night at City Hall indeed. First you can meet the candidates for Alderman in all Wards and then you can stay for the BOA meeting!

A simple yes or no answer:

2. Did you vote to allow then City Adminstrator Don Greer to utilize vacation time to purchase is late model City owned vehicle AFTER it was depreciated as a police vehicle?

3. Did you vote to continue paying Chris Hesse $500,000 on the Leichliter lawsuit?

4. Did you vote to continue to spend $100,000 on architectual plans for the new police station?

Dear anonymous,
As you are reluctant to give us your name, my offer to meet you face to face or take your call still stands.

2:50 PM Blogger: 'Anonymous,' I really believe you should ask your questions using your name, or call him, don't you?

This is a common courtesy that you yourself would expect and demand were the tables turned, no?

To my knowledge none of our candidates are trying to hide who or what they are, so why would you?

Your questions a valid one and I am sure he will answer each point if you just meet him half way and tell him who he is talking to. You would request no less I am sure.

At any rate Mr. trueblood has accepted our invitation to join us on Tuesday night, s if you won' give him your name here, why not come and ask him in person?
