I think he did vote against it. He voted to give Don Greer a $700/month car allowance. Voted to allow Don Greer to "purchase" his city owned late model Dodge Intrepid AFTER it had been depreciated as a POLICE Car using accrued vacation. (It had leather seats and a sunroof!) (The Missouri State Auditor didn't like this one bit.) He also voted to continue the police palace after the City was in deep financial trouble costing $100,000 in architect fees. He voted to sue the former City Administrator... a lawsuit that the City essentially lost and cost $500,000 in attorney's fees. These are what Tim Trueblood voted for. Why on earth would we want to go back to those dark days?

3:48 PM Blogger: Well now we know what you think but we have yet to hear from Mr. Trueblood, right?

We do however know one thing, that being that your fully ensconced in Mary's camp, and apparently do not like Mr. Trueblood.

I wonder what your candidate could bring to the table as these are going to be very hard times that will require very tough decisions.

Please tell us why she would be the better choice and what financial experience she has that leads you to believe that.

Dear anonymous 3:48

The car was a BMW. Perhaps the remainder of your blog should be checked for accuracy.

Perhaps John Foote should pass along the correct facts.

What say you Tim?

I do not have a background here. Was Mr. Trueblood voted out as alderman or did he choose not to run again?

7:18 PM Blogger: Kerra, Mr. Trueblood was a three term Alderman and as such was 'term limited' out in 2006.

The Charter mandates that once you reach the maximum of three terms you must step down for at least one, and he did.

Now he has com back to run again in 12 which I believe is more than admirable as it's a thankless job that wins few friends.

This next Crestwood election will be the most important in all the years I have lived here (43,) as we really must have a person with experience and total commitment to make the really hard decisions that will be necessary.

We have a great group running this year that show the potential to lead us through this economic mess were all in, and I am grateful for it.

Now, which one to vote for. I said I will not tell anyone who to vote for and I meant it, so please do your home work, call your candidate in your ward and ask them to tell you why they are running, what their experience is, and why you should vote for them.

This year is far to important to our City to just 'toss a coin,' or not vote, so become an informed voter, and please don't listen to the negative bravo sierra put out by others for their petty reasons.
