The Obama campaign is cherry-picking the numbers… again

Job Growth

· Obama: Cutter counts the job gains from the low point of Obama’s term forward. The low point was February 2010 when U.S. nonfarm payrolls measured 129,244,00. In July, they measured 133,245,000 for a gain of 4.0 million jobs in 27 months

· Reagan: If you measure the Reagan recovery the same way, he created 8.0 million new jobs in 27 months.

· Bush: And if you measure the Bush recovery the same way, the low point was in August 2003 when U.S. employment stood at 129,820,00. But 27 months later, the figure was 134,654,000 in November 2005 — a gain of 4.8 million jobs.

In this recovery, we’re still down over 3 million private sector jobs. By any number of measures, according to the AP, this recovery has been the weakest since WWII.

Yup I'm gonna vote for him on Nov 2nd just like his wife the First Lady asked me to.

Michelle Obama in Fla, 8.22.12

"So that one new voter that you register in your precinct — think about it — that one neighbor that you get to the polls on November the 2 I want you to understand, that could be the one that makes the difference. That one conversation, that one new volunteer you recruit, that could be the one that puts this over the top."

FOUR MORE YEARS!!!

Americans nearing retirement age have suffered disproportionately after the financial crisis: along with the declining value of their homes, which were intended to cushion their final years, their incomes have fallen sharply.

The typical household income for people age 55 to 64 years old is almost 10 percent less in today’s dollars than it was when the recovery officially began three years ago, according to a new report from Sentier Research, a data analysis company that specializes in demographic and income data.

Across the country, in almost every demographic, Americans earn less today than they did in June 2009, when the recovery technically started. As of June, the median household income for all Americans was $50,964, or 4.8 percent lower than its level three years earlier, when the inflation-adjusted median income was $53,508.

The decline looks even worse when comparing today’s incomes to those when the recession began in December 2007. Then, the median household income was $54,916, meaning that incomes have fallen 7.2 percent since the economy last peaked.

Yet the Crestwood BOA is even considering subsidizing Crestwood Courts with TID,CDD, ETC.

WAKE UP PEOPLE. SAME EMPTY PROMISES. SAME ZERO SUM GAIN. TRADE KOHLS FOR FAMOUS BAR. MOVE BUSINESS FROM OTHER LOCATIONS IN CRESTWOOD TO SAPPINGTON SQUARE.

BUILD BRIDGES TO NO WHERE.

FUND ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER.

PROVIDE ROOM,BOARD AND A STIPEND TO THE CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER.

WHY DO WE CONTINUE TO REPEAT THAT WHICH HAS DEMONSTRATED FAILURE. THAT IS wTHE DEFINITION OF INSANITY.

what failure are you referring to? Crestwood is solvent and functioning fine as far as I have heard.

I will repeat. Crestwood Loses. Consumer loses.

No new sales tax revenue generating business.
No new revenue.
No increase in business revenue.
Do you understand now.

Established taxing kingdoms that enrich the bussiness and lower the risk of failure. Even this approach is failing. Review the history of Sappington Square.

End result.

Increased cost to the consumer with the highest sales tax rate in the county.

I prefer not to pay extra 1 per or more extra to purchase product.

from good friend R. Hundelt via email:

Subject: Fwd: Deficits Explained

BRILLIANTLY EXPLAINED.

This rather brilliantly cuts thru all the political doublespeak we get.
It puts it into a much better perspective.

Lesson # 1:

* U.S. Tax revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
* Fed budget: $3,820,000,000,000
* New debt: $1,650,000,000,000
* National debt: $14,271,000,000,000 (now over $16T)
* Recent budget cuts: $ 38,500,000,000

Let's now remove 8 zeros and pretend it's a household budget:

* Annual family income: $21,700
* Money the family spent: $38,200
* New debt on the credit card: $16,500
* Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
* Total budget cuts so far: $3.85

Got It ??

OK now Lesson # 2: Here's another way to look at the Debt Ceiling:

Let's say, You come home from work and find there has been a sewer
backup in your neighborhood....and your home has sewage all the way
up to your ceilings.

What do you think you should do ......

Raise the ceilings, or pump out the sewage?

Your choice is coming Nov. 2012
