It’s been said by the Democrats that Mitt Romney is a murderer, felon, and tax cheat. Democrats have also maintained that Bain Capital is all about making money and destroying the little guy. As it is with Liberals, there are no facts to back up the allegations. People are supposed to believe them because the Democrats say they’re true. Here’s a story about Mitt Romney that’s been fact checked.
“In July 1996, the 14-year-old daughter of Robert Gay, a partner at Bain Capital, had disappeared. She had attended a rave party in New York City and gotten high on ecstasy. Three days later, her distraught father had no idea where she was. Romney took immediate action. He closed down the entire firm and asked all 30 partners and employees to fly to New York to help find Gay’s daughter. Romney set up a command center at the LaGuardia Marriott and hired a private detective firm to assist with the search.
“He established a toll-free number for tips, coordinating the effort with the NYPD, and went through his Rolodex and called everyone Bain did business with in New York, and asked them to help find his friend’s missing daughter. Romney’s accountants at Price Waterhouse Cooper put up posters on street poles, while cashiers at a pharmacy owned by Bain put fliers in the bag of every shopper. Romney and the other Bain employees scoured every part of New York and talked with everyone they could – prostitutes, drug addicts – anyone.
“That day, their hunt made the evening news, which featured photos of the girl and the Bain employees searching for her. As a result, a teenage boy phoned in, asked if there was a reward, and then hung up abruptly. The NYPD traced the call to a home in New Jersey, where they found the girl in the basement, shivering and experiencing withdrawal symptoms from a massive ecstasy dose. Doctors later said the girl might not have survived another day. When taking office, the President does not swear to create jobs. He does not swear to “grow the economy.” He does not swear to institute “fairness.” The only oath the President takes is this one:

By sending — literally — brownshirted enforcers to engage in — literally — a midnight knock at the door of a man for the non-crime of embarrassing the President of the United States and his administration, President Obama violated that oath. You can try to pretty this up (It’s just about possible probation violations! Sure.), or make excuses or draw distinctions, but that’s what’s happened. It is a betrayal of his duties as President, and a disgrace.

wasted days and wasted votes
I really don't think voting for something different and a candidate apart from the same two so-called choices is a wasted vote.
The two-party system as I see it is for all practical purposes totally controlled by lobbyist money, not by our votes.
A four-year election cycle has 1460 days, and we get a voice on one of those days. The other 1459 days belong to the lobbyist money of the powers-that-be, and regardless if folks want to admit it or not, we ain't the powers-that-be.
I don't know if voting for a third party would change things, but I do know that supporting the same sold-out lobbyist-owned illusion of choice, election after election is NOT what I'll be doing, and that isn't wasting a vote.

I have not commented on the story because I have not had tim eto read it. As for the story on American Thinker, no thanks. I have said before, i do not tend to read or believe things i see on "conservative blogs' or "liberal blogs". I am not interested in their opinions, becasue it will always be slanted to make me GASP in horror at the other side. i read my own articles and form my own opinions.
I don't see much differnce between that and people walking around at rallies wearing flag clothing. Flag shirts,flag shorts, and worst: flag bikinis. Those who are trying to find things to freak out about will find them no matter what, no matter what side they're on, no matter D or R. There is no shortage of things to become morally outraged over. Quite frankly I'd rather see a flag representation than a too-small flag shirt on a 300 pound guy as he drinks a beer and tells me how patriotic he is.

I try to get my news from all sources. NPR, CNN, Fox, MSNBC, CBS, NBC etc. Then I sort of blend it all together to form an opinion. Blogs where people state what they think isn't news as far as I'm concerned, and I disregard it as far as news goes. I realize there is really no such thing as unbiased news, so I try to steer clear of obvious slants and do the best I can. I have been pretty upset with Mr. Romney and his stupidity of late, and I am hoping he gets his act together. He needs to get over this foot-in-mouth-disease he has or it's going to be ugly in November.

yes, this story from Christie's interview had been on every major news source since he said it. I hope that he is right for your peace of mind. Just remember Ms. Coulter's prediction: "If we don;t run chris Christie, Romney will be the nominee and we'll lose". Thats' the one I think many are very worried about.

Okay, so, let's assume you're correct and Obama is the anti christ and will destroy western society as we know it. I have heard not one thing, NOTHING, about specifics of Romney's plans for anything. He keeps indicating that to find out, he'll have to be elected first. You seem like the sort of person who would be furious with that, and you have stated on here many times you have no use for the "rino" Romney. But now he's the nominee and can do no wrong. what changed?Surely not just the fact that he was nominated?

Your right, Mr. Romney was, is not my first choice for the party, but then again they failed to ask me again.
Nothing has changed reference my feelings toward Mr obama and his socialistic performance over the last 3 1/2 years. I have studied the man, read his writings, and I firmly believe that he is a communist (a communist is a socialist in a big hurry!)
His father was a communist, he (BHO) learned from the likes of Bill Ayers, Bernadette Dorn, the Rev. Wright, and Saul Alinsky (please look them up) who preached (and followed) revolution, hatred for America, and socialistic communism.
Mr. obama, by his DEED'S has shown that he has the wrong vision for America, and one that will destroy the very freedoms that many of us fought against over the years. It has been said that the Veterans will indeed decide this election and it may be so as the administration is "having issues" getting out the Military absentee ballots.
So you see nothing has changed, except the nominee as put forth by the Republican party. I believe him to be a good man who I will back, and who will do his best to rescue the Republic from the downward spiral created by Mr. obama and the two years of Democrat majority in both houses of Congress.
