Who told Centrum Crestwood would pony up a TIF for the Mall project?

In yet another brilliant editorial by Mr. Mike Anthony the question was raised, "Who told Centrum officials that the City would support the Mall ?"

Indeed Mr. Anthony, who did it, and better yet why did they do it ? I wonder if we were able to follow the money here who, and or what would be at the end of this dingy rainbow ?

Please read the editorial above and then tell us who in this City thought himself / Herself so important that they decided to circumvent the Board and give special instructions to Centrum on behalf of Crestwood.

There are but two conclusions here, and they being that someone is incorrect about the insurances from ? Or they were given same by a person, or persons not qualified to give them, Which is it?

Either way, this is yet but another reason to fully vet the so called "deal" (take it or leave it) given to us by Centrum properties! Despite the prayer groups, so called "protesters," and the media ploy's WE still live here, so lets ALL make darn sure our Alderman are doing the homework required to keep Crestwood a winner.

As was stated by Mr. Anthony, at least four of them are, the remainder, well ?

EX Alderman hands out fliers for a "prayer vigil" tonignt near the Plaza to "move forward" I guess.

Folks, it has come to my attention that one of our EX Alderman was seen handing out a flier after church last Sunday that said there would be a "prater vigil" on the night of the BOA meeting.

Interesting in that the last time I checked the Bible clearly stated that the worship of false idols was not only outside the wishes of God, but it was not to be done!

Now, however the Centrum cheerleaders have decided that they, the all knowing should test that by apparently praying for the Board to come to THEIR way of thinking and give Saul the farm keys.

I don't know about you but I am going to give that space (wherever it is, and attending group) a wide berth as the last thing I need is a lightning strike on my pain wracked body. Things a bad enough the way they are.

Back to the false idol thing, I wonder if praying for a structure as well as the opportunity to give away O.P.M.( other peoples money) is in fact crossing the line? In my religion (Missouri Synod Lutheran) as I understand it, and where I attended several years of school, it certainly seems so, hence the area detour.

You tell me, is this a possible sin against the teachings of the Bible, or is it just a foolish publicity stunt?

Local resident (Ms. Carol Wagner) opines that the reputation of Crestwood is "dwindling!"

Yes indeed, the poor down trodden community that I have called home for over 44 years is falling apart according to Ms. Wagner. Why you say? Well it seems that if the property known as the Crestwood Courts is not developed very soon were going to have nothing, and "everywhere I go" people will ask me, "what's wrong with Crestwood!"

It has also been opined that our BOA is not doing the right thing, as only four of them are cheer leaders for Centrum, and the other four only want the best from Centrum. Now there is a lot more (such as the prostitution ring) in the letter to the editor shown above that you can read and decide for yourself, however..............

I as usual have a few remarks that I would like to make to start the thread going if you will. I am wondering how "everyone" knows that a person is fro Crestwood? Is there a sign were supposed to be wearing to identify our town? If so, I need to apply, as I missed that part of the message.

What about the site that was bought at a fire sale by Centrum? It would be very nice if it were in fact developed, but why does it take 34 Million dollars from US and the schools (remember them, if not, see below) to do it? And in case you missed it, we now have food stores and a bowling ally in place, so why another one?

Centrum at last glance has NOT ONE person signed to a prospectus list to come if they build it, so how are we supposed to excited about this so called development? Is it possible that the 34 Million would be used to pay themselves back and abate the EPA issues the place has? You bet it is, and no amount of whitewash can change that!

Ms. Wagner also asks why anyone would want to come to Crestwood to open a business? Well the fact is that Crestwood is an excellent place to run a retail shop as we have loyal (we do, don't we) resident's who will shop Crestwood first, and if the shop carries what we want, bingo!

In closing please allow me to say that the four Alderman who have done their home work have held Centrum to a higher standard. They are looking out for US, and contrary to what Ms. Wagner opines, they are representing their constituent's far better than the SB-4 (Starbuck's four) who have chosen to meet off site to further their agenda!

Just when I though we might have reached the zenith in political correctness yet another committee person comes to the fore to prove me wrong!

Folks, I give you yet another of a long list of complaints by those who would be, well, you tell me. Now we have the "asparagus police" on the lookout for what they deem to be 'racism' in the produce aisle! Can it be that yet another item is "stalking" a segment of our population?

OK, enough with the silliness, now have we not reached the state in the city and county where racism is (or was) a thing of the past? Must we ALL be reminded every day that we have different skin tones? And what possible difference does that make anyway?

A very long time ago I learned that color made no difference when it came to trust or respect, and during that time (and since then) I have tried to place my trust in the person, not the color.

Were ALL Americans here, were for the most part ALL "mutt's" due to the fact that MOST ALL of our fore fathers came from somewhere else to make this great experiment work. That said, can't we STOP the "hyphenated American" names place upon us by the progressive / liberal wing of this Nation and move ahead as ONE?

Well there you have it my friends, if you work for the government you MUST do your duty to the regime and spy on your fellow co-workers!

I am really beginning to believe that rampant paranoia plagues our Fuhrer, no? What in the world would possibly induce anyone to order their fellow Americans to spy on one another besides that?

Well, there is one thing, and that would be that plans to convert our American freedom into "one world" thinking might be the order of the day at the highest levels of the regime, and he doesn't want the great un-washed to know it yet.
